Charna produced a lovely true black boy for us just before an epic heat wave began a couple days later. Since Chris and Carol Howard made the awesome breeding decision for Charna, their farm name goes on for him. Our nod to their wonderful black breeding program we found an Irish name beginning with "C". And honestly, Cillian (Kill- ee-an) Murphy's portrayal of Tommy Shelby in Peaky Blinds was powerful! Cillian carries banner winning genetic from both mom and dad. Dad is Estate Sakima's Braxton co-owned by Cinco C's and Little Creek Farm. 5C's Charna is by Man of Steel and carries Silver Signature genetics from her grandfather on her mother's side. We'll enjoy watching him grow and plan for the spring 2027 show ring debut.

When Tank’s massive fleece was opened up, his apparent fawn color revealed grey fibers throughout, identifying him as a Fawn Roan—no surprise once you dig into his pedigree. Tank is sired by Sunset Hill’s Andean Gold, a producer of both black and grey offspring and a grandson of PPeruvian Victor. His dam, LAAF Paladin’s Belledin, is a PPeruvian Victor great-granddaughter and 5th-generation Hemingway, also carrying black and grey in her background. Despite only being bred to white and light fawn males herself, the genetics are clearly there. Tank has multiple registered crias on the ground—check out his offspring to see what he’s producing. As a breeding male, Tank must be housed separately from females & also other males due to normal male behavior and good herd management practices. Post-shearing, Tank really shines: great bone, square build, and excellent skin quality, noted by shearer Chris Hatch. Brienne is a very dark silver gray girl with flashy white markings. She LOVES getting sprayed by the hose on hot days. Brienne's 1st show was the very competitive Spring Buckeye Show. She placed 4th in her halter class and 6th in her walking fleece class. We're especially pleased at how well she behaved in the show ring.
